As time went on, you got usual to Claude serving you as your demon butler, that's right, he was a demon, what kind though was a mystery. You now lived in a mansion that belonged to his previous master Alois Trancy. He taught you how to be a good noble lady, from manners to the way one should act. He also told you more about the contract, like the deal and your soul as payment for him. You understood everything.

Within a few months, you were a noble lady of high standers. You were often visited by other nobles or business men asking you to join their group for whatever they wanted. Claude would get rid of them easily.

He would cook, clean, and do other things. He never got rid of any spiders when he cleaned, you thought it was a bit weird. He would also change your bandages a few times a day.

Now, let's continue the present.

~~~Now~~~~

"My lady, here is the mail. You have quite a few interesting pieces. You were invited to several balls as well." Claude handed you some mail. You grabbed them all at once, "I told you to stop reading the mail" You sighed. "I'm sorry Lady _____, but as your butler, I should read them in case something dangerous is in them." Claude said with a bow.

You flipped through the mail, he was right, you had several invitations to balls. One wasn't open though. You dropped the other invitations and you opened the closed one. "Dear Lady _____, you are invited to a masquerade ball, we will be delighted if you come. You may bring one guest with you. Sincerely, Viscount Druitt." You read.

You heard of the Viscount from somewhere. but you didn't remember. You remembered something about him being caught for selling something. Did he sell drugs? You sighed and loved some (h/c) hair put of your eyes. You then smiled, "Claude, we are going to this ball. I've never been to one and I'd like to see how it goes, alright?" You turned to him as you got up. He nodded in response. You then started to pace," Now what to wear?"

"A masquerade ball is like a normal ball, only the guests wear masks of animals. The whole point is to keep your identity secret. If I may, I suggest a spider and a butterfly." He said calmly. You faced him, "A spider and a butterfly?"

Claude nodded and continued," The butterfly floats through the sky, trying to find some sweet nectar, when it spots the silver strings of a spider web. It flies to it, unaware to the danger lurking near the beautiful strings. As it softly lands on the web, it is pounced on and captured by the spider. The spider wraps the beautiful butterfly in silk to keep it from escaping. The butterfly, was caught by the spider, now stuck in it's web of despair." Claude's eyes flashed, he apparently liked that idea. You thought for a moment, then you opened your mouth. "Your idea is great Claude, we shall do you plan Claude."

Claude bowed, "I will find someone to make the outfits My Lady. I will be back as soon as I can." He said with a smirk, you glared at him, then he left.

~~~A Few Hours Later~~~

You sat down, you were starting to get impatient, where was Claude? You sighed, "Claude better not have been killed." You stood up just as you heard footsteps in the hall. You sighed again, "Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Claude where....." you turned and you were looking at the most beautiful dress you had ever seen.

It was dark blue with a black outline, just like a butterfly. The sleeves would cover most of your shoulder, it would cover the contract. It had sparkles in the blue to make it shine. You touched it, it had a velvety feel to it. "Claude...this is beautiful. This is the best dress I've ever seen. Thank you." You said as you faced Claude. You blinked at him, he was wearing a black mask that looked like a spider with golden eyes. He looked a bit funny. You swore you saw a quick flash of pink appear and disappear on his cheeks, cute.
